Located in a modified commercial building, this specialized multi-clinic center required a unique approach to both interior building and corporate branding analysis, to address the needs of its patient base. Based on a comprehensive set of design the hospital’s optometry, dental, reproductive and cosmetic surgery clinics.

Tasked to create the vision of a new age hospital that integrates local Hangzhou cultural elements, our design team reviewed a palette of gentle colors, rich materials and intricate feature details before deciding to apply a different color system for each floor. Bright, sunlit rooms were included to provide a comfortable recuperating atmosphere for both patients and staff alike.

As the only high-level specialty hospital for women and children in Hangzhou, edg was contracted to complete the construction of its uniquely curved marble lobby feature wall, using wood finishes and colored PVC flooring to liven the approximately 6,000sqm interior. Completed areas included: the lobby, administration area, patient rooms, ICU, X-Ray room, Bultrasonic rooms; outpatient, pharmacy, training and operation areas. Curved marble flooring and background walls in 1F were the major construction challenges. Other challenges included: the renovation of the electricity & water systems, as well as the coordination of subcontractors. edg successfully completed this project to a high degree of quality.

Housed in a 1980’s Panasonic electronic tube factory, covering a total construction area of approximately 12,000sqm, optimizing this space was critical. Our design team applied this perspective to the planning and design of the general emergency ward, outpatient clinics, maternity and family planning clinic, dentistry, foreign medical services, general surgery, radiology, operating room, sleep monitoring room, 35 single wards and a 140sqm VIP ward, a 470sqm out-patient waiting hall and 200sqm of public space.

This workspace is comprised of container-like rooms with exposed metal surfaces, bright colors. and 'network elements' to highlight Yahoo's style in the internet age. It's open-ceiling is dotted with orange pierced metal droplights, while its partition walls are dotted with orange latex paint and gridded glass. edg's detailed construction work and sophisticated technology, helped to create a comfortable,bright and quality office space.

As a leading global manufacturer,Volvo has rigorous principles and processes concerning its projects. In line with these points, this project was divided into two phases and three floors, which included an office,laboratory, data center and canteen. Unique aspects also included: a tight schedule (first phase: 48 days;second phase: 52 days), high electricity demands on air-conditioning, VRV system requirements of no more than 2℃ variable amplitude and issues concerning financial security and reports to the municipal public security and banking regulatory bureaus. In addition to working within these requirements, our team complied with LEED standards, focusing on water-saving, energy-saving and indoor air quality control
